Default Coil Overs -vs- Springs

I am going to lower my 370z Touring Model. I want the same smoothe ride that I currently have. Can anybody please tell me the difference between Coil Overs versus Springs and which one i should go with. I am not to concearned with price but more ride quality. I am will have 20" rims on the Z so I dont know if that matters.

Thanks

springs are typically smoother however KW's offer a smooth ride as well...the higher the spring rates the "rougher" the ride...coilovers typically have higher rates...you'll eventually have to rebuid coilovers and also get them occasionally corner balanced for max performance...depends on what your looking for..

Less sidewall of tire = slightly firmer ride.
Generally, I like the adjustability of koni style struts or coilovers.
Springs, will not have any adjustability, therefore, you get what you get. Best is to have the rate match the valving if you go that route.

For example, my Nismo is great on most road surfaces, however, with non-adjustable spring rates, rebound, etc. I'm stuck, so on very rough surfaces, it's very bouncey...

If price is not an issue then definitely get the KW V3s. Ride will only be slightly stiffer but you will get the added benefit of tuned shock and adjustability.
