And 400 is pretty much MSRP.
Swift Spec-R Springs 370Z 08+
They are selling it for 335, and Im sure the price can still be haggled from there.

Good points. Thanks for the link. I am sure others will find it very helpful. That price is way better than the one I found. :tiphat:

Here are some more things to consider: the drop is too great in the front for the H&R's. You need front camber arms for that which will significantly increase your costs. So the price of the Swift looks more attractive when you don't have to buy a front camber kit! I paid $360 shipped for my set from Kami Speed. Yes they cost more than the H&R springs. But they are a better spring. And whats $50-$100 more for a much better product?

My front camber is -1.77 and -1.92, which I don't think is too much. I've driven 5k miles and haven't noticed any inner wear but I don't expect any tire wear to be noticeable until around 12k miles, if at all. A non lowered z's oem tires should last at least 20k.

As far as h&r and swift springs, I really believe you need the entire kit, springs and struts that are designed as one to get a performance boost. I really don't see much benefit from just springs. And I don't know if people are aware that H&R springs are made in Germany and not Taiwan, not saying swifts are made there.

I got mine for $335 shipped from Kami-speed which I think is a very fair deal. One more week until install!

The Swift springs are amazing, MUCH better ride than the stock springs, I was shocked. The drop isn't aggressive but looks good, there is little to no body roll and the harsh bumps I often encounter on some bad roads near me feel more absorbed. I would recommend these springs to anyone considering an upgrade without going coils.

Not a great picture but:

So is everyone running swifts have any camber issues without running the front control arms?

I just can't wrap my head around how a spring with stiffer spring rates can not only perform better than stock springs, but also ride better. When driving the car in a spirited manner, does it feel more controlled when going through corners with bumps or undulations in the pavement?

I guess I will have to see myself next week!

I don't know how to explain it other than the way they describe how they are built (cold-formed, custom material, fewer coils) the springs are a progressive/linear combo, not just either one or the other. The result is stock like ride over uneven surfaces but flat in the corners.

**** roads just seem to not feel as bad as the stock setup did. You can definitely feel the ride is stiffer going over large bumps, but it's not harsh at all. This is how it should feel from the factory, you will not regret buying these.

The debate continues...

Very much appreciated, it would be great if the car felt firmer through undulations especially when pushing the car. I know I won't regret it!

That is a swift's mistery. They just perform that way. At first I thought the spring rates that they claimed were off, so I have dynoed some of their springs, and their claimed rates were right on the dot, so I still dont know why they give that feel.

btw... I tested the coilover springs.

After reading thru this thread and the review thread for the Swifts, i'm almost ready to purchase them. My curiosity though, for those of you with the Swifts, you say body roll is much less, my plan was to also do a Stillen Sway Bar, do any of you also have a sway bar? Or are the springs really that good, and is it not necessary to do the sway bar too?

I have swift springs and stillen sways. The sway bars alone noticeably reduced roll, with the springs there is now very little. A good combo for street/auto-x, I plan on doing some track sessions next spring.
