Can anyone think of a reason why a performance car needs to be on airbags? Considering the weight and added crap needed to make them work, I say it hurts

Considering the weight and added crap needed to make them work, I say it hurts performance. From a cool looking standpoint, sure... looks cool, if you want to look like a Lexus.
