These springs are creaking like crazy, is this just normal during the settling phase or are they just noisy springs? The rubbers from OEM were properly installed.

I have never heard my springs make ANY noise, break in period or otherwise. I have heard others complaining though it usually turns out to be the rubbers. Not sure what it could be...

How much does it cost to have the the swift springs installed? Are spacers necessary?

spacers aren't necessary, they're basically up to you

How is understear with these, im sure some one mentioned it already but there is no way im going through 56 pages. Why im asking because today i was doing some spirited driving and almost ended up in a parked mini cooper because of the understear i got going through a corner at 30mph.

They should not creak at all if they were in fact installed correctly, the only culprit is the OEM rubber mounts so I would look over them again.

I had mine installed for $225 at SpecialtyZ in California, but Seb has some of the best prices for labor and parts out there so that may be on the low side compared to other shops.

The Swift springs give the car a much more neutral feel, removing most of the understeer that the stock springs had. Combined with a good set of sway bars, you can get rid of understeer completely. I have zero understeer with my Stillen sway bars and Swifts, just perfectly neutral balance through turns.

Thanks, I'll look it over but I saw the guys at Amp put them on...I'm not really getting creaking during normal driving, just when I'm trying to go up steep driveways sideways and they're really compressing and expanding...I may take them to extremes others wouldn't experience to get into my building's driveway without scrapping.

SWIFTS ARE AWESOME. Got them installed today and wow such a great improvement over the stock springs.

If you have creaking issues, it is because the OEM rubber rings were not put on the Swifts correctly. I had creaking issues, went back and put the rubber rings on, and have not had any issues since. Check my post in the review and the Nismo Swift review if you want pics.

theres too many other factors for you to pin point the springs causing it.

unfortunately, I could not get back to factory specs. Have to order a camber kit for the rear. Fr -1.5 both sides, Rr -2.5 and -2.4 was the best they could get it to. Toe and caster were good all around.

Alchemy 08-27-2011 04:01 PM

I got 1.5 front and 2.2, 2.0 rear. Left it as is, feels pretty darn good.

ggiwin 08-27-2011 04:13 PM

Anyone know if running -2.5 rears will destroy my tires?

wont ruin, but will wear them out fast

at -2 degrees my back tires lasted 15k miles. and that was babying them. (15k miles isnt bad on a car like this though)

since you cant adjust front camber i wouldnt wory about -1.5

ggiwin 08-27-2011 04:46 PM

spc rear camber kit it is then :D thanks

no. I put 6k on my rears at 2.5/2.6 and they wore perfectly evenly.
