Someone sell me your Swifts. I can't wait for my order anymore. Been over a month and I'm tired of driving the car with OEM springs.

PM me if you're selling. I'm totally serious.

I had no clue what they were talking about but they sent me a picture and apparently yours doesnt have it on. That will directly affect the squish noise. They assured me that it was tested on the Nismo and the springs will not cause any problems as long as installed correctly.
The reason why your vehicle is making noises is because the OEM spring jacket is not on the spring.

Yes, that is how the spring should look before you install it.

Had my Swifts installed and aligned the same day (didn't plan on alignment at the same time but I gave in).

Here are my results after alignment

Front
L/R
-1.4/-1.3
Camber

5.7/5.6
Caster

.08/.09
Toe

Rear
L/R
-2.6/-2.2
Camber

.12/.12
Toe

I guess i will have to get Rear camber arms later on but i don't think the rears are too bad. I'm looking to get in spec and not looking for any other advantages. If L/R rears were closer maybe i would just left them alone...

What do you all think? Should i give it more miles and then recheck alignment?

FYI the rear camber was -3/-2.9 before adjusting.

I would wait a week or 2 and get it realigned but thats just me.

Can't wait for my springs to come in!:icon14:

I have heard drive on them for roughly 500 miles then align.

BRI888 06-06-2011 06:36 PM

What model is that swift springs? How much is it? Is the ride bumpy?

You need to give them time to settle.

So i finally got my swift springs after nearly 2 months andbwill be installing today.. So is this how to mount them with the rubber silencer at the bottom of the suspension housing?

I think your spring is backwards, the part where the turns are closer together should go on the top.

Where did you order from?

abgyak 06-09-2011 09:54 PM

Got it from Kami... Ordered them back in April.... Btw can anyone confirm if the springs installed is upside down.. Cause the mechanic where i sent the springs insisted that its installed as shown in the picture below..

But according to JJ-Nismo in post 219 its the other way round... So which one is the correct way? Please confirm guys... Thanks..

I took some pictures of my springs this morning. The car was on the ground and the springs were not unloaded. It appears that the isolators are in place. I also notice what may be the silencer in the upper middle portion of the springs.

Take a look and let me know what you think! Do the springs look too compressed? What about the shocks?

Tighter coils to the top! You should be able to read the Swift logo on the springs! Make the garage reinstall those ASAP.

abgyak 06-10-2011 08:47 AM

I havent corrected the installation of springs yet, was waiting for confirmation from you guys... will probably make the changes tomorrow... BTW was just wondering, what would be the consequences if i keep the springs installed upside down?
