The Swifts are the perfect drop for this car. One question, I installed mine and I put the plastic sleeve from the OEM spring on the Swifts, but not the way it's in the picture that came with the instructions. I placed it from the begin of the spring. I have a little noise coming from the front. Can I just put another sleeve on the spring? I don't want to take them out again to just move the little plastic sleeve.

I don't like the way my Swifts make the car handle better. It attracts too much attention to my poor driving skills.... and the compliments I get from the stance are just way too embarrassing....

seems like these springs make weird noises smh
|
mine sound like 'vrooom vrooom' ..... :ugh2:
|
I thought mine did, but I had the bump stop in wrong. Fixed that and the are just as quiet as stock.
|
Seems like all the issues people have been having are due to lack of attention to detail during the install process. Nothing but 'win' from mine....

I have zero problems, only smiles and giggles. |
No noise coming from my springs. I will be installing my toe bolts tomorrow to fix the issue I am having with scrubbing the rears off. Picked up dremel bit #115 for the task. Hopefully all goes well.

i run swifts on my other car which is my dd. drove all winter through salt and hardly washed.
unlike tein and tanabe springs where the paint started cracking off in one winter use, the swifts held up fine. the springs are wound very well to match the stock dampers too. i think this is the only spring manufacturer that actually tests the ride quality of the car. the others (tein, tanabe, eibach to name a few) are like just eyeball the spring rate, should work.... and it doesnt. |

I installed my spl rear camber arms but didn't need the spc toe bolts to get the rear back in spec. Now I just some front camber adjustment and i'll be good.

I know it's been talked about before, but does anyone know if SPL is ever going to come out with a front camber kit?
|
Also for the guys that are still having noise problems with their swifts, this maybe something to look into.

Got my toe bolts installed. Now I need to get an alignment ASAP. Anything in particular I should tell the tech doing the alignment? I only enlarged the hole towards the inside of the car. If they try to do a full rotation of the toe cam bolt will it F up something?
|
Just got back from Firestone. I told the tech what I did so he wouldn't try to fully rotate the toe cam bolt. He got me lined up for ZdayZ. 0 toe on one side and 0.02 on the other. It was great success!

Looks great Kaien!!! Did you use the rings for noise like you said in the last few post?

No I didn't buy them, I had installed the bump stop wrong when it fell out of the dust collar and that's what caused my noise. Now there is no sound and it rides great, sometimes I forget it's lowered because the ride is as good if not better than stock. I almost wish it was 1/4" lower up front and 1" lower in the rear. I loaded the Z up for a trip, put my wife and daughter up front with suit cases in the hatch just to make sure I won't rub when fully loaded and it looked perfect plus no rubbing. |

There might be some binding of the rubber bushings at the pivot points in the rear. Was the suspension at it's normal/rolling compression when you tightened everything down? |
