Any recommendations with spacers on a base model 2014? I don't want to drop the car and it looks funny with stock wheels. I won't be getting rims until next year.

Also, does the base model have the Euro tuned shocks or is it only the sport model?

Thanks

Driver side front sitting quite a bit higher than passenger side front

It better even out or a kitten dies

I got perfect fitments with Z1's 25mm in the front and 20mm in the back. Made them nice and flush.

Zdayz 2014!!

Have any of you guys had issues with any wheel hop after installing the springs? I tried to track the car 1/4 mile and had some pretty bad wheel hop during launch. Didnt have any before. I also installed some Bridgestone s04 tires at te same time with spacers and spc rear camber kitt. im thinking with the tighter springs i might need stiffer differential bushings? Thanks for any ideas.

What shocks/dampers are you running?

That's what I hear, I have some for you

But tires can too. Whats the pressure?

sportblack13Z 07-16-2014 07:09 PM

I have a 13z with sports package. Shocks and dampers are oem. i started at 25 psi and lowered to 22 psi but couldnt get rid of wheel hop unless i launched very soft. i was thinking maybe i have to ride the clutch more but honestly its been doing it even from a rolling start. Thanks synolimit, what kind do you recommend? Im thinking that and some traction bars might help?

Better diff bushings will help a lot the pumpkin won't want to rotate as much. I would recommend going a solid poly bushing (Energy, White-line) instead of the aluminium ones.

sportblack13Z 07-17-2014 12:24 AM

that sounds about right, im gonna do the bushings and see if that is enough. ill update and let u guys know when i put them on. Thanks for the help!

See I always thought street tires at low psi made hop worse. They have very stiff side walls unlike a drag tire at conforms to the road at low psi. The lower you go the worse it gets with me. The more pumped up the smoother it gets but you can slip easier. Its a fine line from my experience to get it right. I think <26psi is to low. At the drag my car did slightly better 60 foot with a little lower psi but I kept losing mph at the end.

I have spl and no issues with NVH but install was a nightmare! The solid rear bushing was impossible to get in. I have a spare set of whitelines though.

The thing is that i installed the tires and the springs at the same time so im not sure yet if its a tire issue or the springs or a combination. ive been on the street rolling at like 20mph and taken off aggresively and ill still hop the tires and thats at 35 psi. So yea i just need to figure out what it is. i am a bit nervous about installing the bushings though.

synolimit 07-17-2014 06:03 AM

Why nervous?

I'm on Swifts with 305/30, S-04's with no wheel hop. I don't launch from high RPM's drag racing style... I do take off aggressively and get a little spin but no hop. I run a little more pressure in the tires because they are a bit wide for the OEM Rays. About 38 psi cold.
What are your alignment settings?

sportblack13Z 07-17-2014 09:39 PM

I think im at around -2.4 camber in the rear. I havnt tried 38 psi maybe that will help. As far as the bushings, im just gonna pull the trigger already synolimit. I keep reading about fast i tentions and how they like to add them when they install their turbo kits.
