Default Track out rear wheels?

The shop that is adding a backup camera and stainless steel brake lines and SAE 5 brake fluid suggested I track out the rear wheels 10mm each. This is a new idea to me. He suggested it to fill some of the visual gap in the rear fender. I never thought there was much of a gap, but the Ferrari parked next to my Z did have the rear wheels further out. (Yeah it's an expensive, but worth it mod shop).

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions regarding this mod?
