Default porsche 911 looks smaller

was in a parking lot today w/ my 370z and pulled next to a nice 911. the 911 looked more fun because it looked a little smaller. it was defiantly lower. do you think just the lower ride height gave it an appearance of being smaller?

specs i found:
370z____________________911
length= 167.1___________175.6
wheel base=100.4_________92.5
width=72.8_______________72.9
height=51.8______________50.4

Lol it is indeed smaller. The z is comparable to a vette, except in length. I saw the panamera for the first time, thought it was a vette with LEDs. What an ugly car. Imagine if the viper, vette, or z had 4 doors.

The 911 is longer nose to tail, but the car looks smaller (and is smaller inside) because of the body lines.

You're right about the specs. The z looks so much wider. I've never cared for the looks of the 911 either. I think It would look better if it had a longer wheelbase and shorter overhangs and shorter windows and taller doors.

That would be the option I would choose for my family car

Also the floor in the Porsche does not have axle and exhaust running down it like the Z so it can be more stream-line.

In the old Porsche world, there are 2 categories: ROW and US

Rest of the World group are lower than US. Even the US versions are lowered by their owners. My point is that your numbers may not reflect the "actual" car that you saw.

The Z is definitely wider and longer. Which one is more fun? Well.....
