Nice! But they seem a little to low for my taste.

import111 03-08-2009 08:32 PM

What are the spring rates for both ER and BR series?

They are height adjustable. You don't have to make yours as low as I did. :)

The standard "off the shelf" spring rates will be 10k/12k for the ER and 10k/8k for the BR, but custom spring rates and valving are available on both.

Yes right. I was just making a comment. But any how it looked cool.

I saw a set of BC ER coilovers this weekend...they looked a lot beefier and high quality than I expected! Really really nice.

I had BC racing 10k/8k on my G and loved them. The question is, is there defenate improvement on the handling department when you compare it to the stock suspension or its just a confidence builder?

There is a big difference, even on the street. The car is a lot flatter around corners and soaks up mid-corner bumps with much more confidence.

What would you say is a good balance with the BRs if you go custom, 10k/10k ? would that kind of put them in between them and the ER series ?

M.Bonanni 03-23-2009 03:15 PM

I will know more after this coming weekend's time attack, but my guess is that you are going to want to go with a staggered spring rate. The ER Series on my car is a 12k/10k setup so I will see how that works. A 10k/10k setup might make the back end rotate too much.

DannyGT 03-23-2009 03:19 PM

And thats 12k front 10k rear ? Would running the same rate on the BR series be OK ? maybe 11k/9k ? LOL

M.Bonanni 03-23-2009 03:23 PM

Correct. 11k/9k would be fine on the BR except BC Racing doesn't carry odd numbered spring rates for the most part. We would probably have to get you some Swift Springs to get 11k/9k.

I ordered the BR series today through a local shop. Gonna order some rear camber arms tonight online. Can't wait to get all this installed.

^^^Sweet! Hope you enjoy them!
