I suspect you are being sarcastic, but in actuality, I believe the Bose system is a variant of the magneto-rheostatic type damper. Some examples of brands and models using such systems include the Audi R-8 and the "Porsche Active Suspension Management" (PASM) as used on 911s and Cayman S. I doubt anyone would sneer at owning and driving those cars.
