if there is a group buy im in!

about how much would it cost to have these installed by a shop? and how difficult is a spring install on a touring s?

tjlazer 10-01-2010 12:40 AM

Check the DIY:

http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...r-install.html

It's about a 6 hour job if you have all the tools. About $200 to $400 for a shop to do it.

The drop should be about 1 inch all around.

And the spring rates are 10kg front and 10.5kg rear.

We are not going to be releasing the Sport springs. We are going straight for the Spec R's. They are faily aggressive rates and are going to be very performance oriented. They will be comfortable enough to be daily driven.

They are going to ready in a month and a half.

Thanks for looking into Swift.

Best Regards,
Sales

ok it's October, whats the hold up swift? LOL

XwChriswX 10-04-2010 06:25 PM

So based on those #'s ^^^^ Does this mean they will be 'stiffer' than Eibachs...??

And what I'm saying is, I have a sub box in the back with 2x10" + amp... When I had Eibachs, the rear end squatted... So my question is if I had these springs, would it still do so, or are they able to handle the extra 120ish pounds?

tjlazer 10-04-2010 06:29 PM

Yes it should not sag as bad as the Eibachs.

XwChriswX 10-04-2010 07:03 PM

Hmmm... I might have to shoot Swift a pm and find out if they've seen/dealt with this or not?

tjlazer 10-04-2010 09:36 PM

Well I do know that if you get LINEAR springs you will have less of a problem with a load in the back. Maybe get some Nismo springs? They are STIFF as Fvck!

Yes, thats what I was told, if I get any progressive spring I'm screwed... I guess I'll just hold out for Coilovers in the spring lol

370ZAttack 10-07-2010 01:57 PM

Word is in. They're coming in 2 weeks :) According to KamiSpeed, Swift will only have 5 sets left. So you guys need to jump on these.

only 5 sets???

tjlazer 10-11-2010 04:07 PM

Kami will have 5 sets or Swift???!?

370ZAttack 10-13-2010 01:05 PM

Swift were getting a total of 15 sets on this shipment, but 10 sets were all pre-sold. So Kami decided to buy the last 5 sets. Because Swift won't be getting any more for at least 6 more weeks.

So that's why I jumped on the pre-order list. I don't want to wait 2 months for these. Not sure how many Kami have now though.

felt 10-13-2010 01:09 PM

You would think that with the amount of demand for these springs have, theyd be capable of producing more.

tjlazer 10-13-2010 01:11 PM

I placed my pre order today as well. I want a set.

370ZAttack 10-14-2010 11:01 AM

Me & You!! Official Swift Brothers. lol :hello:

wishihadnav 10-14-2010 05:17 PM

nice!..post pics after the installs please..

370ZAttack 10-15-2010 01:23 PM

will do

Boost_lee 10-16-2010 04:38 AM

Placed my pre-order with Kami-speed also. I hope I'm in the first 5...

Boost_lee 10-18-2010 04:45 PM

Confirmed with billy at kami that I was number 4 of 5. One left for grabs guys! (Maybe)

CFZ 10-19-2010 05:44 PM

Got mine installed on Friday. Went to the track over the weekend. will do a writeup in a short while.

BTW... Springs are awesome. Not your typical lowering springs thats for sure.

How did you get them so fast? So how is the drop? Got pics? :bowrofl:

CFZ 10-19-2010 06:07 PM

Didnt want to wait so I picked them up directly from Swift when they came in. it's like a 40min drive for me.

and pics will come with the review.

tjlazer 10-19-2010 06:10 PM

Cool, can't wait for the review and my springs!

Boost_lee 10-19-2010 10:15 PM

post some pics cfz!

tjlazer 10-20-2010 12:34 PM

Got an email that mine have shipped!

So what do you guys think. Should I use my Nismo S-Tune shocks with these or just use my OEM and re-sell my S-Tune???

christian370z 10-20-2010 01:56 PM

If you want the car to feel sharper, I would stay with the Swift springs and the Nismo shocks as well as increased damper longevity as the S-tune shocks are designed to cope with some drop and stiffer spring rates.

But you could use the stock shocks for more comfort while selling the S-tunes to recoup the cost of the springs.

KingZee 10-20-2010 03:50 PM

So what's the final retail price on these?

tjlazer 10-20-2010 04:04 PM

It cost me like $360 shipped.

Boost_lee 10-20-2010 04:12 PM

Mine shipped also, eta is Friday. Not sure when I can install them though

That's a great price, can't wait for pics and the review. Probably gonna get my hands on a set soon.

CFZ 10-21-2010 10:30 AM

I think theres only a limited number of sets.

370ZAttack 10-21-2010 10:49 AM

All you West Coast guys get everything sooner. lol. Mine's will be here next week.

Yeah, there's limited amount of springs. Kami Speed has all the 370Z springs. Give them a call.

KingZee 10-21-2010 11:09 AM

seriously they're only making a limited amount? All that research and development, all this demand, and there's only like 5 sets to go around? Thought that was just the first batch or something, doesn't make sense.

CFZ 10-21-2010 11:14 AM

Thats what I meant. I mean the first batch is limited. But yes they are in production.
Sorry about the confusion

370ZAttack 10-21-2010 05:16 PM

Yeah a limited amount of what just came in. I'm sure they'll have more in like 2 months.

egz 10-22-2010 12:24 AM

I don't think speed bumps are gonna be an issue with a 1-1.2in drop but yeah, I'm worried about my driveway as well. I park in an underground parking garage and the incline/decline is pretty steep.
