damn, really??? I would have thought they would be there by now.

abakja1 05-02-2010 01:47 AM

So I finally got them in...Was promised that they come in on tuesday, but was shipped on Tues due to volcano in iceland stopping all air traffic in europe,...now that is bad luck on my part...

Anyways,..I got them...had them installed today...I have a great mechanic, he did this for me last minute and he will get them adjusted on Monday to raise it a 1/2" all around as I cannot get up my ~30 deg incline driveway. My FI rear cans would begin to scrape badly (CF ones).. However, the drive with it on my way home was awesome. No rattles, creaks, etc. Great ride and quiet...I would maybe adjust the dampening a little softer tho..

Here are some pics I took with my Iphone when I got to the shop....it was a difficult time getting it off the rack as well...

Do you scrape going up, down, or both?

I can get my front end up the beginning of the driveway,..when the car is at an angle, the rear end drags the cans at the bottom of the driveway..

Adjusted and all is good,..I can get up my driveway now since the rear is lifted high enough...I may make adjustments myself to lower the front 1/2" though,...I miss the road eye level before the 1/2" lift in the front.

So what is your final drop height? 1/2 inch?

yes and no,..
1/2" in the rear and going to adjust to 3/4" up front to try out..

Update: I may have to re-adjust the collar....Mechanic says to turn collar upwards to lower height..This correct??..I turned collar 2 turns upwards in wanting to drop the fronts only...Will let it go since its easy to readjust,..but will get back to it this week if turning collar down 4 turns will ldrop the height like I intentionally wanted to..
Took measurements and it was 25.5." from ground to top of wheel arch...I figure I gotta give it a couple days to settle, but the passanger side looks the same height if not 1/8" lower. The driver side is oddly 1/4" higher. Not sure if jacking up and doing the driver side last has anythign to do with the difference in height at this time (adding weight and compressing the passanger side since I jacked up and completed the driver side last.)

This is with driving for 2 days after install...yesterday and today...
