Default Relentless Autosports 2 Peice Brakes

So, I've been doing some looking around for a lighter option for our brakes, since my brakes weigh more than my damn wheels, and I just wanted to let people know what I found. I don't work for Relentless Autosports, I just found them using google lookin for 2 peice brakes. Apparently RA works with G35/350Z, so when I found they did 2 peice brakes for those cars, I figured I'd asked them about the 370z. Turns out they are coming/came out with some 2 peice brakes. I think he said they will come out with a whole brake caliper replacement kit, but for now he has 2 peice rotors, including the rear rotors that work with the stock calipers. This thread is worthless without pics, so I had a guy at RA send me some pics of what they have so far. Looks pretty good if you ask me. Apparently they are trying to figure out if they should anodize the aluminum center hats a certain color, I said nah, just keep them brushed.

Oh and, I think the weight savings off the front end is 18 lbs? The info isn't on their website, so you'd probably have to call them like I did to get 100% on it.

what do you guys think?

that doesn't seem to be a website. Have you bought anything from them?

when you google him, there just seems to be a bunch of emotional flame wars from passerby's, some real time consuming posts where they try to show him as a liar, and then there are several posts from people who were his customers who took the time to defend how happy they are with his service.

I appreciate the warning bullitt, but I'm a big boy and can look out for myself. If I buy his brakes, and they aren't exactly what he says they are, I'll deconflict from there. Free standing however, it looks like he has gone out on a limb and invested his money, or RA's money, whichever the relationship is, and created lighter brakes that I was looking for. I just know if anyone started hating on protuningperformance.com and didn't have any first hand experience with the company, I would want to murder their face.

oh stupid me, RA apparently is a forum sponsor, and posted in this fastbrakes 2 piece slotted rotors thread show casing the same thing I'm showing you guys. I guess if there is something to contest bullitt, he'd be more than happy to answer question - or not, lol, seemed nice enough on the phone atleast.

Thanks for your posts, Equinox... but unfortunately, there is just no reasoning with unreasonable people. If a minority few mis-informed e-loud mouths whom have never even done any business with me whatsoever want to do their best to follow me around on forums just to cause a bunch of drama and spread what they may have read or heard from somewhere by other ill-informed loud mouths.... well as childish and unfair as it is, that is what they are gonna do.

Its no secret there is a lot of internet e-thuggery going around on message boards, always has been, and there always will be. If someone wants to make up a couple stories and then have their e-buddies spread it around just for the sport of it, it only takes a little time before it gets to a point of where you have several other sheep forum member (who DO NOT know you either) spreading the BS they heard like a bunch of sheep followers. Its a shame, if the wasted energy of people trying to be destructive to others used that energy as being productive and encouraging to others, there would be a lot more progress in this community/industry
As frustrating and discouraging as it can be to have attacks coming in from the mis-informed rumor mill like a bunch of gossiping little girls,.... I have learned that all anyone in our situation can do is keep up our good work and progress, and continue turning out the kind of quality products and work we do to make our customers, our REAL customers happy.

At just about 19 lbs. each, these are the only light weight full floating rotors on the market for these brakes, and also the only two piece rotors available (at all) for the front and rear that are designed to work in conjunction with the 370Z/ G37s as well as other cars that have the front caliper adapters and are fitted with these popular Akebono brake kits.

These RA two piece rotors are made 100% here in the USA with the highest grade of materials available. No corners were cut when designing everything from the heat treated & tempered, balanced & stress relieved, gas vented (slotted), full floating, directionally & rotational pillar veined cast iron/ steel allow blend of the outer rotor, to the hard anodized, aircraft grade CNC machined aluminum center hats with aircraft grade full floating T-Locks & fasteners.

Sure, we could have cut many corners on material & design time to save a little money, but there should be no compromising when it comes to your brake kit. These rotors are the perfect complement to the Nissan equipped Akebono calipers.
Remember, brakes are one of the most significant and often overlooked high performance and safety modifications you can make to your car.

The RA two piece rotor system has SEVERAL advantages over any other rotors available today for this brake kit.

--Light weight rotors will shed SEVERAL pounds of detrimental un-sprung
and rotational weight mass, making the car MUCH more responsive.

--With the self centering, full floating rotor design, it lets the rotor expand
and contract due to heat in a uniformly manner. This way there is much less
probability of the rotors
warping, distorting, cracking, or failing due to the rotors movement during its heat cycles

--Rotors are not only gas vented for more even pad wear, but have rotational & directional
pillar veins that drastically reduce brake heat and brake fade up to 20%.
With less heat from the rotor traveling through the rotor hat and into the
hub bearings, it will increase your wheel bearing life

--You can maximize your long-term investment as the cost of replacing the
rotors when the time comes goes down significantly by only needing to
replace the outer friction surface instead of the whole rotor…. since the
center (hat) is reusable.

(Here is the standard black anodized set, I will update with more and better pictures shortly)
