Question Turn-Key GT-R Brembo BBK Kit For 350Z/370Z

How interested would you guys be in a kit that utilized NEW from the factory GT-R brakes that bolted up to the 350Z/370Z, without any work or modification (it'd be the same as installing any aftermarket BBK)?

Just a thought, and gauging interest. Would be pretty cool to have something that works out of the box instead of going through the year-long process my350z user lsgear080 has gone through just to get fronts on.

Everyone has seen the epically long thread lsgear080 had getting the R35 brakes on his 350Z, and the struggle to do so. This kit would provide you with four new calipers, new rotors, all the modifying brackets, hardware, and everything you'd need to hit the road.

Estimated price range would be 4K-6K. I could look into specifics and get a better estimate if there was interest from people.

Just curious, but for roughly the same price, what makes this any different than getting an AP Racing BBK?

Any performance differences?

Yes. 6-pot front, 4-rear, 380mm 2-piece rotors.

I think the large rear-rotors on the GT-R wouldn't be ideal for the 370.

The front/rear weight distribution is different between the two cars. There will be too much rear brake when putting the GT-R system onto a 350Z/370Z. Plus the 370Z is different to the 350Z, so two different versions will need to be done. The rears, if even possible, would be the same.

Also btw.. the GT-R calipers are only available through Nissan dealers at a very high price. They are not available from Brembo due to a Nissan supply contract. Ones you see floating around in the market are probably take-offs.

Really don't see this being all that viable, except for the guy who wants to say he has GT-R brakes on his 370Z.. regardless of the actual performance or bias concerns.

Nothing against Mike and his having "Alliance" build rotors for it.. you could always run AP Racing rotors with it if you did get this kit.. as they utilize the factory hats, and become a cost effective upgrade/replacement for GT-R owners now, and can even come in the aggressive J-Hook pattern.

So those rotors fit on the stock hats? What kind of pads / fluids / lines would you recomend with those AP rotors? I am looking to make a break upgrade while I get new rubber

They fit the GTR stock hats, not the 370 stock hats. The 370 rotors are a onesie

Or the Brembo 6 piston kit for that matter.

hell i have a GTR an i am going AP vaned or J hook from stillen as soon as i need new rotors... the brembo calipers are fine but i dont like the OEM drilled rotors that much, the AP's are better for ALOT cheaper

I would just go with a Brembo kit that was as close to the stock GT-r spec as possible if I wanted this. Sorry man.
