Default Koni yellow issue/ installation problem

Hey all..I didn’t install my Konis yellows. I went to my first auto x event last weekend and got a pleasant sound while turning hard. Got home and realized the damn nut came off the top and it dropped! I have it back in place..but trying to tighten the nut, the entire thing turns. Just not wanting to screw anything up since I have new wheels and tires going on Thursday..and an event this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pics below are how I found it and how I have it now. Thanks all.

Pretty sure you'll need to remove the strut from the vehicle in order to reassemble them. There should be a hexagonal section of the rod above the threads that you can use a wrench on to keep the rod from spinning as you tighten the main nut.

If you haven't done this type of work before, be careful. You may need a strut spring compressor. You might be able to borrow one from an auto parts store near you.
