Default G2 Caliper Paint Question

I have a question for those of you who have painted their calipers with g2: How bad are the fumes? I'm in a cramped apartment at the moment, and strong chemicals/solvents/paints don't exactly fly with the wife. How bad is g2?

Since you felt the need to ask, I think it's fair to assume that your wife has a sensitive nose. I'm not all that sensitive and have yet to run into a paint (for metal surfaces) that didn't have a rather strong odor. Do your painting outside or find a buddy with a garage/shed/etc. But I have no experience with g2, so it may be an exception.

Pretty simple: don't paint indoors without proper ventilation. It is very doubtful your apartment has proper ventilation.

Usually just read warning instructions on the paint, if it tells you to use well ventilated area then don't do it in the house/apartment, smellz or not.

Calipers aren't that big, can't you just find some empty industrial area and do it in a parking lot or somethin?

It's pretty bad. I did mine in our spare room with both windows open, with a fan sucking the fumes out and Still had strong smell. Id would do it outside, next time.

Thanks, this is pretty much what I was looking for. I was really after a relative comparison between it and general rattle can paint

I just did mine at my mom's house, and you were not kidding... The smell is worse than a rattle can IMO.
