695 for both. Then sending them off to get cryo treated.

Why ST Aero? Just very curious of your reasons.

With the limited selection, and stop tech has a good reputation. Also the price was reasonable for 2 piece rotors. This will be my third set of rotors

Are they actually on sale or is this the normal price?

Z1 front 2-pieces for 498

IIRC they've been on sale like that for a year or more. So normal price lol

I looked at them, I’m just not a huge fan of anything z1 comes out with. Not to say they aren’t good. It’s just a matter of preference to me.

where are you finding the stop tech two piece and how much do they weigh?

Hotrodz 03-22-2018 01:27 PM

I use z1 two peice rotors and they have done me solid. I on my second track season with them and no issues or need to replace them so far. Maybe that is because I am a slow poke as Rusty has stated!

FYI, I also have Z1 2 piece rotors. It appears the front steels will need to be replaced. I do have over 70k on the brakes and rotors. I need to take some measurements but it looks like replacements will be needed. So, that being said. Make sure you can get the replacement steels in the future. I am very happy with the Z1's 2-piece rotors front and rear.

I'm going to wait just a few more months before I rob you, Elmo.

You won’t get much. You’re the one with a turbo kit. You come with your car to rob me and I’ll boost off with your ride. It’s a win win:happydance:

With rotors, IMHO, you get what you pay for, but there are some tricks

Before use, I cryo-treat mine which doubles rotor life when used with ultra-agressive race pads.

Rotor bedding is mandatory (manufacturer process).

Because DBA is an Australian company (that is the A in DBA) I do tend to use them but have used Brembo in the past to good effect.

I bought rotor rings and made my own hats as I have access to a mill/lathe.

Still not cheap though.

The other thing I did was use DBA 52102 rings as these are for a domestic AUS Ford Falcon GT ... and I bought off a race team who had to order a minimum quantity of 50 - they on-sold 10 pairs (I bought 2 sets) and kept the rest for their race team so it is always worth a lateral approach. I doubt Doran Racing have any 370Z bits left but for the price of a phone call, you never know.

Cold firing helps with life and the original pair has only just been swapped after 6 years of DD and maybe 10 track sessions per year.

Whatever you do, I'd strongly recommend cold-fire treatment.

PM me if you want details.

Thanks for the recommendation
