I don't think rears are as big a deal but unsprung weight is a good thing. It cracks me up that some will spend thousands on light weight wheels but just as well off buying light weight rotors. I did both and it has a big impact on handling, braking and acceleration. Just my two cents!

Getting there. I’m broke

That would be a negative on increased wear. I am at half pad on a full set of XP8's with Dragon driving and street driving for over 80k miles.

My xp8's last 4 track days

I've been running the Racing Brake rotors for a couple of years now. No issues with them. Have about 20 trackdays and who knows how many street miles.

LMAO, prepare to stay that way. There is always something else you need or want to change with a turbo track car. All worth it! :driving:

Are your running the slotted? Which ones?

Ive steuggled with the whole brake rotor deal as well.

Been thinking about Z1 two piece. Do they really hold up to severe use without warping?

I have warped the crap out of the OEM rotors, and already turned them twice in 15k miles.

I run slotted and would recommend slotted or sprinkled overe drilled. Drilled rotors tend to get stress fractures under extreme use.

My ex with Z1 two piece rotors have been the same as Rusty with the DBAs.

I’m going to with z1 of stop tech rotors and get them cryo-treated. If they fail then I’ll save up for a big brake kit.

You're so far down that rabbit hole. You'll never see daylight again. Until you come out the other side.

You are saying these 5000 series DBA 2 piece (link below) performs similar to the Z1 rotors?

Slotted and drilled. If I was doing mostly track days I would only do slotted.

That might be due to user error. If you get them hot, don't stand at a traffic light with the brakes pressed to hold you. That will create pad deposits and can warp the rotors.

I would say the other way around since DBA were making them before Z!. Anyway I would be careful ordering from ebay. The one you posted are about half the price I have seen from known sources.
