I used to think the same thing until I got my Alcons. They definitely perform better than the akebonos. I will say the cost of entry is not worth it based just on the performance difference for street driving but there is definitely an improvement.

Yeah, there is an improvement once you completely empty out your wallet. :rofl2: My advice to him was not aimed at the guys who are willing to drop that kind of coin on brakes.

Maybe that's why I feel like they perform better. Car must be so much lighter when my wallet is empty.

Never said a 6k+ BBK is everyone's cup of tea, was simply just stating that I did notice better performance and dramatically better feel even on the street.

Oh, I'm sure they work a lot better. And they damn well better for the cost :rofl2:. Not to mention they look awesome, too.

To be fair, though, you're much further down the rabbit hole as far as mods than the OP.

Probably feels better because you don't have a big, lumpy wallet to make things feel out of balance. :driving:

Steve Wiggins is selling a really nice brembo big brake kit on here and the Facebook 370z parts for sale page and is offering it for a steal...they're powder coated burgundy grape (purple) but have that jdm stlye purple to them..they look amazon

No biggie but drilled rotors are more prone to cracking. Most legit racers go with slotted only. As you say this is an aesthetic thing mostly so drilled are fine, but functionally slotted only are a bit more 'legit'. (IMHO)
