ARK GT-S Springs only??

Let me start off by saying that i am completely green when it comes to most if this stuff. I was hoping to find the right answers for some suspension

Default ARK GT-S Springs only??

Let me start off by saying that i am completely green when it comes to most if this stuff. I was hoping to find the right answers for some suspension mods i would like to do to my Z. Been looking into the ARK GT-S springs for my 2011 but after further inspection it would appear that just installing the springs alone is probably not a good idea and at best would chew up my tires if other additional aftermarket parts were not added as well. So.......

1-Can I just have the ARK GT-S springs swapped out without any negative impact?

2-If no, what additional parts are suggested in parallel with the springs?

More than likely, you will also need rear camber arms and toe bolts. A lockout kit is also nice to have.

That's what I figured, appreciate the experienced advice. Can you enlighten me on lockout kit? is that the steering lock out I've heard about? Does lowering the vehicle cause that issue?

Hey man, I used to run Ark Springs as well. They're good springs to go an aggressive type of low too. I do recommend and alignment at the least after installing these. If you do have the money, I recommend SPL rear camber kit with toe bolts too for the top notch quality parts and align your tires perfectly.

When you put camber links on you don't need or want the OEM essentric bolts used to adjust camber anymore. They become redundant and senseless to keep. The lock out kit makes this a non adjustable point, which is what you want.
The steering wheel lock is completely different and unrelated. I think it's only an 09-10 issue...

I really appreciate the info. It should be apparent i'm still learning alot of this stuff but i'm glad i asked. can anyone suggest a good set of rear camber arms? and will i need to buy front camber arms as well?

For the rear camber arms, go with SPL. If your budget is tight, there is also SPC. Front camber arms are a lot more expensive and may not be needed. I didn't change mine.

No worries, we were all new to the Z at one point. I and most everyone will tell you get SPL rear camber links. You don't really have to have front arms replaced. I had an inferior brand on the front of mine and went back to OEM for now. I'm on Swifts and the front is -1.5 to -1.7. Toes is where you want to pay the most attention. Have the front set at Dead Zero toe and the rear with a touch of toe in, 1/32"-1/16" total toe in is popular.

No that's not a good idea. Try to go somewhere that works with sports or race cars for the alignment. The normal places sometimes don't quite get it. They are use to daily driver normal cars. Sometimes there's a good guy at a normal place though. Sears use to be the go to for lowered cars where I live, now there's a race shop I use.
Installing the parts isn't hard, just try to adjust them close to what you remove. Then take it for an alignment.
