Default Kinetix vs SPC front camber arms

Before anyone can say it, yes the SPL arms are better. I can't use the SPL arms as SCCA rules for the class I autox in prohibit spherical bearings which only leaves the SPC or Kinetix front camber arms. Any thoughts on one over the other?

Well, good to know since I'm in ASP and was eventually thinking of upgrading to SPL... I have SPC, and have heard better things about them. They seem to be keeping alignment and not slipping at all through plenty of autox days and a few HPDE a year. I'll let you know how they held up this past year through heavier abuse once I go get a re-alignment/corner balance done the 2nd week of March.

This. As I run some national events and also plan on heading to Lincoln for Nationals this year, following the rules is something I have to worry about.

But like if you're in the next level up that will allow for the SPL arms, why do you care that you're in the higher level? Because your car will be slower than the cars in that level? Isn't it all about times anyways?

Going up to the next prep level makes the car completely noncompetitive based on the other cars in the class (a lot of turbo charged, monster power cars including GT-R's iirc). Additionally, the money to prep the car for the next level gets pretty crazy. Just to have a rule book built car for the class I run is somewhere around $30k.

PM'd gomer, I don't want to take away from your thread.

But let me put my 2 cents in for taking you off topic. Both arms work fine. SPC's won't slip if you torque the shít out of them (Martin82 used to track them to hell and back) and Kinetix aren't bad either. But less prone to needing adjustments

I have run the SPC and as DE has stated they will hold if you tighten them down! lol I had to use PB blaster and a breaker bar to unlock mine hahaha... just an FYI the top nut is a 27mm nut so get a socket for it if you plan on making your own adjustments.

SPC > Kinetix. At least in my book. I have tracked with SPC and just upgraded to SPL. Kinetix will break as a 350 experienced at AMP. DE.5 is correct in the SPC will be less prone to slipping when you torque them way pass what is called out. Or you could create a bracket to lock everything in place like Baer383 did back in the day.

Your rules suck. Feel sorry for you. Is there no other group you can run with? Seriously? they have a problem with spherical bearings? This is why I hate these "good ole" boy racing organizations. Who ******* cares about spherical camber arm bearnings?

That being said, there is nothing good I can say about SPC camber arms, several of my 350 friends have had good success with kinetix. They both have a sh1tty design from an engineering standpoint.
