Fly1 Motorsports Custom Skid Plates / Splitters
 

Fly1 Motorsports is pleased to announce a new product line we feel will have a wide application, and fulfill a need that has been in the market for some time! After releasing our aluminum skid plates for the Amuse 370Z front bumper, we fielded a lot of inquiries to create something similar for other front lips, bumpers and side skirts. Unfortunately, making "one-offs" in raw aluminum is too pricey and involved - so we had to explore other avenues.

We did our homework, played with various materials and ideas, and have finally come up with a solid, economical solution for the community to protect their custom parts, while not breaking the bank!

The information below should answer most of your questions about our new custom skid plates:

1. Material - Aluminum Composite (two thin, but strong, layers of aluminum with a solid core). Overall width is 3MM, and comes in various colors/finishes. Initially, we will be offering them in a gloss black finish.

2. Application - Double sided tape to secure positioning with self tapping screws to secure attachment.

3. Ordering Process: a) PM us with a picture and description of what you want us to create so we can provide a quote; b) send us an accurate trace of your lip, bumper or side skirt on cardboard or butcher paper; c) let us know if you want the skid plate to extend beyond your bumper or be flush, and if extended, by how much; c) we will fabricate the custom skid plate and ship it back to you within two weeks; d) breathe a sigh of relief as you scrape on speed bumps and driveways :tup:

4. Turnaround: We will ship out your custom skid plate within 2 weeks of receiving your trace and payment.

5. Pricing: PM us with your requirements :tiphat:

Here are some pics of a local customer's 2-piece skid plate we recently fabricated for his Zele front lip. Please note the pics show the skid plate only attached with painter's tape - so final fitment on the car will be much more secure! You are welcome to trace your lip on a piece of cardboard or butcher paper and we can fabricate exactly based on your trace :tup:

You ever do anything for the 2013+ front? Splitter that is.

I think thats the only thing that they make for our front bumper... if you want a lip you have to go with carbon signal, varis or make custom front lip like i do :tup:

Oh I'm gonna look for a pic of one of the splitters then....I don't like any of those lips from the before mentioned.

Cant find any pics.......used the google function here maybe used the wrong words...also looked on the FB site for a while.

you have to contact them.... they custom made your splitter... the only splitter that you are going to see for now is the pics in his first post

You need to make something for the +13.
Maybe make it from a old model lip or something.

Hey Guys...we can fabricate one for the 13+ front bumper (or any bumper/lip/car)! Whatever you have, send us a trace on butcher paper or cardboard and we will use that to cut one for you :tup:

As of now, we haven't make any for the 13+ bumper...

im no good at making my own designs...I want something CF that has similar lines to the CS front lip for my nismo. Have you guys made anything for a Nismo yet?

These are splitters/skid plates, not an add-on front lip. We don't have a lip for the Nismo, unfortunately; but can make a splitter for it. It will be flat though, no arch, or winglets on the sides. :tiphat:
