Wow is the stock really that white? Would these bulbs make the light stronger other than just change color. The stocks don't light up anything even with high beams on.

JWMotoring 02-29-2012 04:53 PM

Stock is about as bright as they come at approx 3100 lumens.

None of these temps will be brighter they just put out a better looking color (in my opinion). Stock has a tad hint of yellow in them.

If you're having problems with the stock bulbs you may need to adjust them. I don't know how good of a job Nissan does at the factory with adjustments.

man i've been wanting to change to 6000k bulbs but im afraid of breaking the clip that holds the bulb in

Romulus1 03-01-2012 01:26 AM

They're super easy to do, in swapped sets on my G37 like 3 times, I just haven't gotten around to the Z's yet. I'll be ordering a set of 6000K's now!

JWMotoring 03-01-2012 06:48 AM

Thanks for the orders! I'll be shipping those today.

The clip is pretty stout. It won't break. Just be careful not to touch the bulb while placing it in.

No, the temps here means the color not the actual heat of the bulb. The actual heat is the same as stock.

my 6000K's. Should have shined on the garage, the fence is a bad surface for color display but you get the idea. ::thumbs up::

Romulus1 03-09-2012 11:57 AM

The color for sure. its a cooler softer blueish light that, to me is more plesant but as far as useable light on the ground you usually loose a little with 6000K compared to stock 4300K but i dont notice it, its so minescule

This may help you figure out the best bulb heat range. Tested all 3 against the stock bulb so you can see the changes.

Although most of you like the 6k, I prefered the 8k as they seemed to put out the most natural light and still gave off a blueish hue.

I hope this helps.

Mr_Cann 03-09-2012 11:21 PM

wow thanks for the pix daemon....now that i've seen these pix i'm more leaning towards the 8000k as well...hmm

JWMotoring 03-10-2012 07:10 AM

8k looks really different than what I'm used to in the Z projectors. I ran the 8k in my old Camaro and those suckers were really blue. I run 6000k and 4300k in my other two vehicles. I prefer the 6k myself.

Anyone undecided on temps I will help you out a bit. If you install a bulb and do not like it I will allow you to swap the bulbs out for another temp within 14 days of purchase. All I need is the bulbs returned in good condition. Shipping will also be on you (to and from). I send them first class so it usually costs $1.64. Not a lot.

Agreed thats a super deal there. Don't like the color, try the other and youR not stuck with a set you don't like plus a new one you do. Great deal!!!

JWMotoring 03-10-2012 03:11 PM

Thanks guys. Just trying to do something different for our Z customers :)

Also my shipping estimate was off. It's actually $1.82 for these bulbs.

Oh okay, yah i didn't know to much about lumens & all the lighting tech, i guess when i thought abt bulbs i was thinking about what some ppl have said abt LEDs, like i've heard ppl installing really bright LEDs that have gotten too hot for the particular area they were in & caused some issues, ever heard of anything like that?

Anyway, do u have pictures of ur 12k??! I've been wondering what those look like as compared to 10k & 8k! & how do yours compare to this brand? b/c i'm wanting to order one of the 3 as soon as possible

what do you mean by looks very different on our cars?? are you saying 8k are not as blue as they normally are on most other cars??

JWMotoring 03-11-2012 09:33 AM

It's probably just the way they look from the drivers seat vs how they look in front of the car like in post 1.

12000k puts out about 2200 lumens. That's 900 less than stock. I'm not a fan of those which is why I don't offer them.
