This will last virtually forever. Wont fall off or sag. You can change the oil and filter without removing the entire shield with the built in access door. Offers better cooling to the oil pan, we all know the 370z needs anything it can get to help it cool better. Offers better heat escape from the engine bay. Aluminum will dissipate heat better out of the engine bay. Better protects the oil pan from damage at the track or on the street as it sits directly in harms way of any road debris esp with a oil pan spacer. I have more reasons but can't think of them right now ;) |
Ok...I wasn't aware the price of replacement or the fact that there really was benefit of this helping with cooling at all, makes sense and I thank you for clarifying.

Most people use these as a much better replacement when their OE plastic one is falling off or they see it behind them going down the interstate. As they are pretty close to the replacement cost for the regular OEM piece on the non-nismo models, it's kind of a no brainer. |
Nismo
Joe,
I need to get one for the NISMO, delivered by April 6, 2012. Is this possible? Thanks Kevin |

Joe,
I understand the sheet metal god has control of the situation, however, when can I drop an order for one? Thanks |
Sorry it took so long for me to get back on here. But last other weekend we installed one on my Nismo. Everything fit up just the way it should. This is a top quaility product. You can tell just by looking at it that alot of time went into making it. Thanks again Joe for letting my car be your test fit subject.

Here are a few pictures of the final version of the 2009-2012 Nismo 370Z under pan, There will be one change on the back side bottom which will increase the rigidity and also allow the use of oil pan spacers and deeper oil pans.
The outside fender pieces are mounted on the wrong side of the middle part in these pictures but will give you a good idea what they will look like. I will get some pics of production pieces in the next few days and also get them on the website with pricing which is going to be in the $400 range. We are also working on integrated brake ducting which is in the works right now. Should have final pieces ready to ship in the next 3-4 days if all goes well. http://photos.zspeedperformance.com/...dsize=1200x600 Picture below shows air duct to bring in cool air which will flow air across the oil pan and suction hot air out of the engine compartment and out the back of the shield for cooler under hood temps. http://photos.zspeedperformance.com/...dsize=1200x481 http://photos.zspeedperformance.com/...dsize=1200x570 Outside fender liner pieces get mounted on top of the center section instead of below as pictured here. http://photos.zspeedperformance.com/...dsize=1200x900 http://photos.zspeedperformance.com/...dsize=1200x564 |

Joe,
Looks good are they comming in aluminum as pictured or are they going to be black? Thanks |
The consensus seemed to be everyone wanted them in aluminum finish, If there are people that want them in the micro-tex black PC I will send some of them to the powder coaters.

:excited:
Now I have no excuse not to order my front bumper, thanks guys for making me spend more money. :p |
You're Welcome ^^
I have the PC version up on the site for pre-order, They should be back from powder next week or the first part of the week after, if you guys want to pre-order those it will give me a better idea on how many to send over for the next batch. |
Does the PC add any extra strength or benefits, or purely for looks?
|

I kid ;) Mostly for protection of the aluminum and looks, I doubt the aluminum would ever corrode bad enough to do any damage to the aluminum's strength. If it ever did corrode to that point, It would take many, many years. |
Will this fit the coupe with oil cooler??
|
Is V2 available yet? Really looking forward to getting this asap before my next oil change and want to ensure that it clears my future sway bar upgrades. Thanks
|

Cannot wait to get this bad boy installed. My car feels neutered and not even functional without the flap there. |
All shields back in stock!

So I was getting ready to install this today and I was expecting all sorts of complications because of the TT piping... So I bust out my dremel, toolbox, extra screws, spacers etc etc... FOR NOTHING, this thing just bolted right in! It is miles away from the pipes and everything lined up properly... 20 min later I was done... Thank you Joe!

Installed and everything looks good so far.
After looking at the pictures, I just realized I mounted the plastic wheel well pieces on the wrong side and will have to change them tomorrow. I had a few black plastic pop rivets which I did not use. What are these for? I also had extra metal clips (not the bolts) that I did not use. Is this a problem? Thanks for the quick shipping Joe! |
I think he just sends extras. If you reuse your hardware you will have a little bit of everything left over.
|

I send hardware that replaces "everything" you have, so if you having nothing, you can still mount the shield. The plastic rivets (push clips) go in the recessed area and hold the center up, Use them. |
Just ordered it through your website! Can't wait to get it installed!
|
Joe, I love this underpan. My car feels like it used to. 70, 80, 90, 100 mph, it does not matter; I do not get any vibrations now and the car feels great. This is better than the OEM option.
Thank you for the quick shipping. My only complaint is that no sticker came with it :( |
NOTE: Will not fit an engine that has a sump extender fitted ............... you require a number of 30mm spacers in order to make it fit ...
