That's true, however there is an option for a convex mirror that would give the affect of having a wide angle mirror. In my own personal opinion, it's not the vertical visibility that I'm lacking, it's the horizontal visibility. For those who track or even daily drive their vehicles, the bulkiness of the OEM mirrors makes it difficult to see around when negotiating left hand turns. Often times I find myself trying to look around the mirrors.
