Well I decided what to do with some on my Tax Return this spring.

Landing Strip
Dual Orb LED Rings
Projector Shroud Gloss Black
Turn Signal Shroud

I hope it will look amazing with the black/chrome look on a black 370.

You can always ship us the headlights. I read you're afraid to take them off yourself, so just have a body shop do it. It's a pretty easy uninstall

Hawk6 02-15-2012 11:28 AM

True I can ship... not so afraid to take them out as I am sure that I can figure it out without breaking them (spent my life in the Infantry so destroying is what I know) its the fact of sending them to someone/some place and being without my vehicle for a few weeks... thats why I would love to know some place local...

It wouldn't be a few weeks. We will have the headlights for only a few days and ship them back. The shipping time there and back would be longer than the time we would be working on them

smooth8543 02-16-2012 11:54 AM

Hawk6, I can support the claim from 180 on how fast they get the lights back to you. I shipped them last Monday and by Thursday afternoon I had an invoice from them. I paid it that night and by Saturday morning I had my lights back! Granted I live within the 1-day ground shipping radius but its well worth the wait as the quality is first rate! As far as the process for taking the lights out, I relied on the DIY section of this forum and had zero issues. I'm a total amateur when it comes to this stuff but what I did to help was place each set of bolts into a slip lock bag and I marked the bumper bolts with A, B, C… and the light bolts with 1, 2, 3... I made a note of where each bag came from on paper and it took me about an hour to take them out and another hour to put everything back together.

I'll get some pics of the work 180 did for me, until then, I had the housing painted flat black, the shrouds painted mont. blue, and the dual orb LED lights installed.

julianpayne 02-17-2012 08:18 AM

I had my HL done in Tampa by a Custom Shop/Stereo Installer called Soundwaves, ask for Peter and tell him I sent you. Take a look at my pics for results.

USAF_troop 03-01-2012 09:19 AM

Do you have updated pics of your headlights installed. Mine are being worked on as well.

I ordered:

Gloss black housing/reflective strip
Solid red shrouds
Dual ord LEDs

Can't wait to get em installed!

ok i know i asked a while back on some pricing on a headlight setup but now i have a little extra money and i want to see what you can do for me. I would like to get flat black housing with gloss black shrouds with the single orb and landing strip with carbon fiber turn signal and red demon eyes. or same setup minus the landing strip to 78260. I would like to know rough price for shipping them to you and where you are located or if you pay for shipping that would be absolutely awesome! thank you for your time.

Those look AWESOME!

I wanna do much the same, but with Matte Black, and have the dimples filled in. What did you do with the side reflector, just blacked it out? That's the only area I'm  over... :icon08: Hmmm...

Hmm. Not sure what I wanna do with it, Here's what I'm thinking:

Matte Black Housing
Gloss Red Shrouds
Dual LED Halos
White LED Turn Bulb
Gloss Black Amber Reflector
Filled In Dimples
Red Double Demon Eye

If 180* can do demon eyes? :ugh:

AlphaSnacks 03-13-2012 10:38 PM

Get rid of the reflector. It just looks better without it.

Hopefully sometime this year, that's my next major mod.

supersic58 03-16-2012 11:54 AM

Does anyone have any updates available as to whether or not they have experienced condensation, leaks, blown lights etc.?

Very interested in this mod but concerned that on their initial post they state "NO MOISTURE/CONDENSATION AKA PERFECT SEAL" but then only give a 1 year warranty. If it is perfect seal why not warranty the item for greater than 1 year. Likewise on the lights. 6 months does not make me feel warm and fuzzy about product life - it sounds like there is a known issue about these. Is my question/statement inaccurate?

I raise this issue as I was discussing it with someone that works on my car and they said this is a well known issue and to avoid doing it.

Does anyone have any feedback about condensation and LED/ORB lights from '09, '10, '11

Note that these questions are not meant to disparage the work done by 180; their work is obviously aesthetically pleasing and from general comments people are thrilled. I am also not going down the road about price; I believe in paying for value so that is not the issue either. Just want to make sure that there is a realistic usuable life expectancy of the mod and that I won't end up having to buy new lights 366 days from time of install.

bullitt5897 03-16-2012 06:13 PM

180 a few years ago had an issue with some of its LED's but that was a LED manufacturer defect. They have since fixed that issue and I have ran their lights for 2 years with no issues!

My guess is the reasoning that if something were to be wrong or defective, it's going to show itself inside that first year. And if you go a whole year with no problems, I doubt 2 days later it's just going to fall apart.

And with there being a 1 year warranty, I'm sure if you were to have a problem 1 month after that and gave them a call, they're not going to be assholes and tell you to :gtfo2:

Lol thanks for the warm n fuzzy. I'd hate for them to go out soon. Anyone know the life span specs on these led's

supersic58 03-22-2012 08:07 PM

just a bump to get any feedback from customers with these mods over the past few years

mtaxelson 03-22-2012 08:48 PM

Cant comment on having their product for a few years...but i had issues with the initial install (couple LEDs on landing strip not lined up right)...but issue corrected very quickly...they paid for shipping both ways to get it right...great communication with those guys.

Def a +1 for the 180 guys, dont have a bad thing to say about them.

Every company has things go right.

It's when mistakes or sh*t happens... thats what defines the company, by what they do to make it right.

[QUOTE=ONEighty;312279]Examples of some very neat and common combinations.

Like to keep this thread alive ppl. I'm dropping mine off this Friday. I havent seen work on any Nismos thus far. I'll post pics and my expericance when I can.
Clean look not to ricey for me:
Dual orb
Matte black housing
Matte black Reflect strip
Shaves dimples
Projector oem silver

I think this will look fresh. Something to compliment my cf hood/black out emblems.

ufoz8mycow 04-12-2012 05:03 PM

This is awesome and I'd do it in a heartbeat BUT (and this is the deal-breaking BUT)... What are we supposed to do if the Z is a daily driver and we live nowhere near your shop in NY??? Can't drive around with no headlights for two weeks....

Now I didn't read through ten pages of the thread so this may have been answered already - the question is will you guys have headlights in stock that you can modify and send out to those of us who can't be without headlights for any period of time? Some kind of core exchange system?

mtaxelson 04-12-2012 05:20 PM

Na they don't offer any core programs.

theboydiddy 04-12-2012 05:22 PM

Yeah it wast covered. I was wondering the same thing.
I've asked a few questions myself but no luck

Assuming you're getting flat black housings, keeping the shrouds OEM silver, and getting the Dual Orb rings, you're looking at $600. The LEDs are hooked up to your parking lights so they can be turned on at any time, and also turn on with your HIDs.

We are located at 2390 McDonald Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11223. All work is by appointment only. We have spare housings to work on so most jobs can be done same day (ours will be ready when you arrive).

We do not do core exchanges because everybody's headlights are in different condition. Let's say the last guy who came in had really beat up lenses with rock chips, would you want those to go on your car? I doubt it.

antfd3s 04-17-2012 08:23 PM

Well i finally got my headlights done by Oneighty. I will say they did a great job accommodating me from start to finish. Everything was up to expectations, very professional work. I decided to do this a week prior so I made the appointment. I drove up from S. Jersey, dropped it off Friday morning and left Saturday night. Everything came out so good I cant wait for my next project by Oneighty.
Alex, I await for your phone call on my tails and thanks again to you and your crew for some dope lights!
