I think you are going to get most coupe owners saying get a coupe while roadster owners say get a roadster. However, for you the decision may depend on a few factors. Such as would this just be your summer time car/nice weather car, your DD, or do you plan to drive it in cold weather etc.

My opinion is the roadster is more of a fun weekend car, its like any convertible, it can give you a lot of enjoyment when the weather is nice to have the top down, etc.

Also, with the coupe I like the extra hatch area, its not the largest area but it definetley can get a good amount of items in there if need arises.

So basically it all comes down to what you are looking for and what fits your lifestyle and needs, I say coupe as I am biased, but I think you won't be dissapointed with either.

If you are an audiophile or are using your car as a DD, I think the coupe would be the best choice.

I chose roadster

Cons - road noise, small trunk, no blu-tooth phone with the roof open
Pros - everything else...

my tolerable open-top temp range is 45 - 100 (F) - seats are awesome for temp control.

I had a vert (MGB way back when) when I lived in the Mojave Desert ... no problem with the heat. After that I had a 240, 300ZXT and a 300ZXTT, all great cars, but they were T tops - just not the same.

When I bought a new Z it was a 370 Z vert and love the open air feeling, I had really missed that all these years.. Nothing is the same.

Do what you like best, whatever will make you happy.

Me ... I really love having a vert again!
