Thanks mate!

Really? Thanks for the info! That helps out a lot. Do you know if the ipod interface allows you to use the steering wheel controls? Or does it purely act like the RCA input?

Also, do you know where to get a ipod interface? Happy to spend the money.

maybe something like this will help?
Behringer UCA202 from zZounds.com

you guys have an RCA input, btw or is it just the mini jack??????

I only have a base model, so I got jack (and a mini jack). I replaced mine with aftermarket though.

Great find CHZ!!

If it wasn't for the new iPhone coming out in a few months, I would buy and install.

I'm hesitant to take the risk as Apple has a bad habit of making aftermarket accessories imcomptible with each generation...

Since a USB is a data port for a computer, I don't understand the concept of "converting" an RCA plug, which is merely an audio/video connector.

Great find mate! if the tech guys can't find anther solution at the dealership, I'm going to try this.

I might take the risk that it will be compatible with the 4G. Apple changing compatibility again like between the ipod and iphone would be seriously stupid of them...

I asked the seller a question on this... doesn't look like it'll work on the Australian system

"Works with both if you have the USA based radio with the SAT button. Thanks Jeff".

Does anyone know if you can get an iphone remote by any chance? Maybe that'll have to do...

Thanks for the heads-up Chiliwili. Probably just saved me a bit of cash!

If they exist, maybe a remote is the only option? I'll talk to the tech guys at the dealership this weekend to see what they come up with. My old man is the dealer principle there so hopefully they will put in the extra effort to find a solution.

Picked up the car on the weekend... gone from a Accord Euro to the 370z. Best decision ever. How good are they!?

However, got no where with a USB solution on my end. Got the duel RCA/car charger cabling from Belkin to cover it temporarily, but it's not exactly a great solution.

Will keep on the hunt. Will love to hear if you come up with anything Majestic. Surely there is something out there that will work!

I've spoken to my tech installer but it doesn't look promising..

The problem isn't fitting a functioning USB connection to the stock unit. The problem is getting it to work via the sat screen and steering toggles.

I'll update the moment I find out.
