Bad and Good News

Bad news, my dealer called me and said the car is already registered under my name and it's ready to be picked up now. No!!....... I was so devastated. I try to reason with him but it looks like there's nothing he can do. During our discussion he mentioned the colour "Titanium". I said "hold on I request for Carbon Silver!". (You see initially I wanted the titanium but because I have never seen it around Perth I was too hesitant to order one, instead I chose CS).

So there was a mix up from another guy that ordered 370z when my dealer was on holidays. Well well well my dealer now knows I have an argument, so it was you said I said blablabla and after a few more bla bla blas he called me back and offered to put the 19’ wheels from the Roadster onto my 370z. He told me to come take a look at the Titanium colour I will like it. Since I haven’t seen that colour I was curious, so I went down and had a look. Wow! It was better then I expected, so nice........ : ) I knew this could turn out bad if I argue my way out and I couldn’t resist this colour. So I told him I’ll take it if he includes street legal tinting, He agrees. Wuhoo! I’m happy I got the 19’ as I wanted, bonus tinting and it is a series one 2010 model, it looks like this is the last Titanium in AUS, I'm fine with that especially not many people in Perth has it.

Sometimes when you push too far it might not end well. I think I made the right choice.

I can’t wait to pick it up now. Thanks Guys I wouldn’t have got the 19’ or the tinting if I didn’t read your messages.

Firstly that's good to hear. Secondly, since we helped you out k3nkyo, you need to repay us, by sourcing some free 19's for us too. Come on mate, share the wealth....

Damn, i'd trade-in and get a MY2010 if I wasn't going to lose so much on it.

I honestly think, 09 plated 370z are the best valve pending you can get one under 60k

True but unfortunately it doesn't benefit current 09 owners looking to trade up..

It's not worth trading up for a set of wheels and a build plate mate.

It all comes down to people who bought the 370z first and are $%$$ off we didn't get the 19's in the first place.

Even if I was a new buyer looking. I would target a 09 build 370z. (pending stock)
Dealerships won't move off RRP for the 2010 built until atleast the end of 2010/ start of 2011.

There will be a flood of 19's on the market at the end of the year. Coupe owners will go after light racing wheels and convertibles will go after bling.

I know what you mean... I just wanna get them 19"s now.

For the price I just picked up my new car, I've got the best of both worlds!

I wasn't talking about trading up, I'm thinking of selling and walking away. At the end of the day the Z isn't going to be very fast as is costing me a fair bit. The more I think about it, a newish daily driver and a hardcore GTR make a lot more sense.

Blasphemy!!

Let's put it in perspective.

If there wasn't this 19" issue, you and so many others would still be overjoyed at having a Z.

I know I can't really talk as I've been recently blessed, but I clearly remember the pride, love and confidence you and others had with your Z's before the wheel issue...

Really. How long would it have been before you went the custom wheel path anyways.

Also in a few months they'll definately be 19"s for sale and it'll be cheaper than losing 10-15k on reselling your Z.

Just my $3.70 worth...

Don't shoot me! haha

I'm thinking about freeing cash up for other reasons too like buying more real estate. Just call me Ben!

Maybe I should just wait for the next flood?
