Yes you can keep the nav system if you went that route. But it is a pain to upgrade. Here is a link sense it has been discussed before. You still would have to use a JL clean sweep for controlling the levels before going to the amps and all.
Bose w/Nav options It is just a lot easier to start from the ground up, with he base system.
