Today is starting off better than yesterday. Turns out that fault code was just the keep alive memory and was most likely tripped by connecting/disconnecting the battery multiple times yesterday. Torque cleared that right up.

I think I'm gonna skip the sound deadening for today. It's just way too hot and muggy out there to be doing it. I would give years of my life for an air conditioned garage.

Yeah, Brutal out there today. Had planned to wax her up for a stereo show in erie on Saturday tonight, had to flip on the Garage a/c as soon as I got home.
Still nasty in there.

Finally had a little time to get started on sound deadening today, but I only got one door done before the sky started making me nervous.

I probably would have gotten more done faster but I forgot about the damned rivets that need to be drilled out to get to the inner door skin...and of course my drill decided to take a crap today and I had to run out and replace it.

Overall it went well. The resonance in that door panel has been completely controlled (with the exception of the outer door handle buzzing a bit. I never did figure out how to suitably address that on the last Z either.) and there is a noticeable improvement in midbass response, which was already fairly respectable. Not too shabby.

With a little luck I'll be able to get the other door and the hatch done over the next few days. This has gone on WAY longer than I intended.
