Mirror Tap Help please

I am trying to mirror tap my new Escort Smart Radar and I've read a few threads on here saying to push the red and black cords into the back

kidicenj Base Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: New Jersey Posts: 141 Drives: 12 Nissan 370z Rep Power: 13	Mirror Tap Help please I am trying to mirror tap my new Escort Smart Radar and I've read a few threads on here saying to push the red and black cords into the back of the mirror into (black/red for switched power) and (middle black for ground). I am doing this but I am still not getting power to the radar. I made sure I pushed them in a decent amount so that I'm pretty sure they are touching deep in there. Am I trying to plug the power and ground into the wrong spots? I prefer not to do it through the fuse box. Suggestions?
