The purple wire goes to the trunk and do you see where the wires are pulled out of the plastic casing. There is a orange wire in there. Strip back

The purple wire goes to the trunk and do you see where the wires are pulled out of the plastic casing. There is a orange wire in there. Strip back the insulation and attack the purple wire to that. Make sure to wrap it in electrical tape.
