I've got a avic-z140bh and I am trying to clean up the dealers install by removing electrical tape and installing butt connectors. Is it easier to replace the RCA connectors?

I've got a avic-z140bh and I am trying to clean up the dealers install by removing electrical tape and installing butt connectors. Is it easier to replace the RCA connectors? I am not sure how they are wired up from the pioneer harness.
