You are not gonna get good quality for cheap. $800 sounds about right. Here's my set up, kicker L7 8". Sub is like $250, box was easy to build, doesn't need to look good since it's covered by the carpet. You can get a decent amp for $200-$300.

Dang seeing these setups make me miss my SPL days
i have a 8in JL micro sub box behind the passenger seat , JL amp , Radio and speakers only Must resist the urge to mod ha ha |
