Speakers are the last place you want to scrimp - in a sound reproduction system, the transducers (mics, speakers, &c) will make a lot more difference than the amp. You'll never get audiophile-grade hi-fi in a car, especially a small one. The best you can do is get high-quality speakers, a decent amp (good distortion specs and enough power), and an equalizer to help compensate for the listening environment.
