Default Dash kit & steering wheel harness question

So after my first audio/screen setup was stolen I redid it as below, one or two minor things. I need the steering wheel control module, have a kenwood DNX6980, so not sure if one is better than another? Need to know what can be done about the edges of my dash kit. Picture below on the right side you can see the extra piece fitted to make it 'look flush' when it is not. Will buying the metra dash kit allow it to sit flush on both sides without adding these extra pieces to hide the holes?

Right side of pic:

the normal and best would be the metra axxess, I have also heard great things about the one made by idatalink.

Yeah, digging around it seems Metra axxess is the go to one, only thing I am finding is the auto program is not 100% but I can easily do the manual program.
Any insight on the head unit dash piece, think the metra kit will fit the edges and fill it in nicely?

Yes we all have to do manual with the 370z (and my altima)

The scosche dash kit is actually better than the metra.
