reversing your sub wires would have nothing to do with it. get out your multimeter and start checking for power at the amp. first check 12v+, then remote, using ground

reversing your sub wires would have nothing to do with it. get out your multimeter and start checking for power at the amp. first check 12v+, then remote, using ground wire at amp, then re-check at a different ground point. re-check fuses. if you have a glass fuse in your power wire, change it. sometimes they blow and you cant tell by looking at it. i have had many bad fuses this way.
I'm betting on the ground, though.
