If you are installing an aftermarket DVD player you don't need to actually connect it to the e-brake. On Kenwood units just ground the signal wire. If you had connected it to the e-brake it gets grounded when the brake is on. I simply grounded mine to the radio chassis with one of the existing screws and a crimp on ring terminal, works perfectly.
