Default Factory Nav ... Good or Bad?

I'm just about to buy a 370Z touring and I wanted some input from you experts on the good and the bad about the factory nav. I was going to get a G37 until I drove the Z and I liked the Nav so just wanted to get some shouts as to what you guys think that have the nav over the guys that dont.. I have a Pioneer F900BT in my Jeep (keeping the jeep) so I know aftermarket stuff pretty well.. Any help would be great..

I honestly think that any after market Nav systems are made better than the factory ones and will also give you more options as well. Especially the Kenwood head unit with built in GPS made by garmin simply great.

I like the factory Nav. It has a great ipod interface and there are settings (like delayed headlights) that can only be adjusted with the Nav. The aftermarket systems are great, but they can be a bit of a challenge to install in the touring model. They are much easier with the base. The factory Nav also works great with the steering wheel controls. It is the exact same set-up as the G37 except it doesn't have the rear-view cam.

I actually really like that I can control everything about the car from the Nav. I used to have an Alpine IVA-W205 w/Blackbird Nav installed in my old RSX and I enjoy using the factory Nav in this a whole lot more.

Thanks man! Thats what I was thinking from playing with them in test driving the G37 .. So I was hoping it was going be that way.. The only thing I will need is a backup cam.

factory nav is the way to go , it looks great and that hole thats inthe dash without it ruins the whole dashboard IMO

The factory also allows some adjustments of the 370Z's features unavailable to the other models without it (unless you have them done when having Nissan service performed at a Nissan dealership): Car Function Adjustments Available Only with Nav?
