Default Rear View Camera Question

I was wondering if most of the head units these days with video automatically switched to rear camera mode when the car is put in reverse?

I would like that feature on my new head unit and was wondering if most came stock that way or is there a specific option or feature I need to look for when ordering a HU.

Thanks

There is a wire that hooks up to your reverse light that triggers the camera on the HU.

If it offers rear view cam option, I am sure they all come would this feature unless its some no brand pos junk eBay ships from some ...anyway...

Hi - I have just fitted a rear view camera to our UK 370z 2011 GT with touch screen satnav. You can check the compatibility of your head unit by going into the engineers menu (audio off then press 'settings' button, keep it pressed and then turn volume control anticlockwise for about 40 clicks - menu should then appear. Scroll down and enable the rear view camera option. Then when going into reverse the screen should turn blue and say 'check surroundings' or something similar. I bought a Sony 370z compatible camera off eBay and a harness kit from the USA. About 3 hours to fit.

i bought the ebay camera. I haven't had it installed yet but I don't see how it would cause any problems.
