do you still have an Aux/iPod port for the Base + Sport package? Or do you need to go with touring for that?
I find it odd that they included a compactflash card slot. I hope it supports the Extreme 3/4 series cards, since those go up to like 32GB nowadays. |

When you say "full iPod interface", do you mean you can scroll through your songs lists from the head unit? I use a G3 iPhone and it seems redundant to buy an iPod. I can only get the head unit to play whatever I send from my iPhone, but using iPone to control the output. It's a hassle to open the center console each time I want to change songs.
I have an eclispe GPS (in another car) that has a USB input and I pop it in my laptop, move over 4 gigs of songs I want to listen to. plug it in the head unit, then the touchscrren nav can navigate the song lists and pick my songs. So far I can't do that with the stock head unit. I bought a compact flash, but it was pricey compared to USB flash drives and I don't have a card reader in my laptop or home computer that works with it, so now I have to go spend another $30 on a card reader. It's just a pain in the a$$ compared to what other car manufacturers are offering. |
