Thats what i dont want lol. I think im going to buy the one that fits into the center where the buttons would go for heated seats and run the cord threw the dash and up the pillar. It will take a while but be worth it in the long run.

If you get pulled over for something, having a RD would cost you extra fine $$$. And If you have a high end RD ($400-$500) it might save you from a broken window and another $$$ RD. I bought an Invisicord: http://invisicord.com/osc2/catalog/index.php?cPath=21 You dont even have to clip any wires if you have a Homelink Mirror. |

radar detectors are illegal in DC and VA, but ive never been hassled by cops in MD. |
Radar detectors are actually legal in most states except the very pro-government anti-freedom states like virginia and DC as someone else said

New to radar detectors, where is the optimal place to hang it for the best recognition and detection.

Here in CA we could get fined for putting a gps / mobil device and not limited to a radar detector on the wrong side of the windshield. In this case having RD below on the mirror could be one of them. I would like to be able to clear my windshield asap when being pulled over to avoid additional fine :) |

Best put in the middle of the window with a clear sight forward and back out both piece of glass the Z's roof falls off so i mounted min with the blend mount so right below the mirror. |

I've been pulled over plenty of times never hassled about the detector(also not for speeding), 9 times out of 10 they dont/wont notice it. |
