Default Popping sound with Ipod - Pioneer Headunit

I just recently installed a avh-p3300bt... I am pretty sure the issue is with the ipod eq or my encoding but when listening to my ipod on my iphone 4 I occasionally hear a small quick pop... it is faint and I didn't pick up on it at first. It isn't rythmic, it is random and the odd part is I don't hear it on the Pandora app or any other input functions (XM, radio, DVD). I would assume it is my iphone EQ settings or my encoding. Anyone have any similiar issues?

I bought the good cable from Pioneer thinking that it might just be a weak Apple sync cable but I still get the noise. It isn't bad at all, I just wonder if there is a fix.
