Aftermarket/Base bezel

The stock base bezel will work with a double din right? I bought one off this forum because I figured the fit/finish might be a bit nicer than a metra

Default Aftermarket/Base bezel

The stock base bezel will work with a double din right? I bought one off this forum because I figured the fit/finish might be a bit nicer than a metra (plus it was a bit cheaper).

Can anyone tell me for sure whether I made the right choice?

It will work, but there is a pretty good gap all the way around. I ended up getting a Metra, but here's a picture before I put it in.

Interesting. I'll fit my radio and bezel out of the car. If it doesn't mesh I'll toss it. Thanks for the info.

You can find pictures somewhere in these threads of what the radio looks like with or without the mounting bracket.

The gap around my Kenwood isn't that big I guess there is a little difference between models.

The one in the Cali thread I created shows that if you use the dash kit that you will not have any gap.

The big ones that have a problem with gaps using the stock dash panel are pioneers.

There are a few threads on this and most have pics. Do a quick search and you should find them.
