screen in cubby hole, what to hook up?

All the aftermarket screens I've seen installed in the cubby look wierd IMO. The only way it looks right is if its recessed back like the factory Nav. screen. To

To me, the only acceptable use for that screen would be for navigation or on something that shows vehicle telemetry data. Leave the x-box at home...
