I personally think two 10s are a lot tighter. I had two 8s in my 300ZX 20 years ago in a custom built box and they were deep, fast, and tight. Of course I listen to rock, blues, and jazz, and don't worry about subsonic frequencies or being heard a 1/4 down the street
