Default Question about the stock rear speakers

Hello,

I have a Sport pkg 370z. From my understanding the rear speakers only come with the touring package. I want to add these speakers but have some questions. Since the grates are still there:
1. Is the area still prewired even though there are no speakers?
2. What size are the speakers? I cannot seem to find the specs.

Anyone else do this to their Z?

they are not prewired. you will have to hack into the wiring harness behind the headunit and add the wires.

I have aftermarket, but use these speakers and they fit well and sound decent:

You would have to not only run new wires to the back but as said would have to run new wires into the factory harness. If I were you I would not run any rear speakers and upgrade the fronts.

Or run a new head unit and run new speakers than if you still want them the new head unit will already have wire ready for you to run from to the back.

Much better choce, Just make sure to amplify them and you will not miss the rear speakers. There is pleanty of staging in this car with the tweeters mounted up where the factory location is. Let me know if I can help choosing spekers.

you could order the pins and put them into the harness at the back of the cd player. thats what my audio store told me i would have to do.. and by installing the pins you wouldnt be doing any harm to your system
