Stupid question but where's the iPod interface plug?

I installed a Kenwood DNX8120. I ran the Ipod cable into the center console tray. In order to make the top tray fit with the Ipod connected I turn my

In order to make the top tray fit with the Ipod connected I turn my ipod on it's side and it fits between the two compartments of the tray. Take care, Willie
